Do stop by Castle Lake while you're in this part of Montana. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Castle Lake. Going for a hike on the Granite Loop Trail is always a delightful adventure, and a lovely lake like Alp Lake is a delightful place to stop at. Interesting geology is available here; Castle Rock Glacier is in the vicinity of Castle Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rosebud Creek - East. This lake is so wonderful. If

| | you like skiing, you're in luck; Red Lodge Mountain is next to Castle Lake; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Upper Granite Loop Trail.
Why not camp at Lake Creek Campground while you're here at Castle Lake, and glide down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in a kayak. Castle Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. a great hiking trail, and a delightful place to camp here at Castle Lake is Beartooth Lake Campground. Castle Lake is a good site of normal precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout June; October meanwhile is the driest month. And that's not everything you can do here in the Absaroka Range.
