If you are in Gallatin county it's always a good idea to stop by Cascade Lakes. Paddling on Gallatin River is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Cascade Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Castle Rock Inn is a magnificent spot for that. Through the warm days of summer here at Cascade Lakes, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. you're here at Cascade Lakes; it's nearby, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Eldridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Near Cascade Lakes you stumble on the Wapiti Ridge Trail which is a splendid hiking trail,
and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Big Sky. Cascade Lakes is not the only place close by, Jumbo Lake is a close by lake, and a good close by hotel is Rainbow Ranch Lodge. This lake is so wonderful.
Here at Cascade Lakes you'll most likely meet some people from Bozeman; on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Divide Trail. Hit the slopes at Moonlight Basin around here, and on a wonderful day you get a brilliant sight of Jumbo Mountain from Cascade Lakes.
