So much enjoyable stuff in the vicinity of Canyon Lake, just mind-blowing. Why not take a refreshing hike along the McCabe Lake Creek Trail; there's pleasant hiking along the Lake Otatsy Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. The top of Canyon Point is easily made out from Canyon Lake; the Spread Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. This       lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Blackfoot River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and camping is available at Big Nelson Campground. Man, is there a load of fun things to do in the Lewis Range. You definitely must fancy the Lewis Range. There are some good whitewater spots on Blackfoot River - North Fork, and hey, Conger Creek is a wonderful local stream. Canyon Lake is a location that is rather arid typically; the month with most of the snow                  is January, and the driest of the months is July. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge; if you came for an overnight stay Monture Creek Campground is a great location to camp. High temperatures at Canyon Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's.
