Canyon Lake is located in the Lewis Range. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Lewis Range. Conger Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Lake Otatsy Trail. Any time is a delightful time at Canyon Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. Going for a hike on the McCabe Lake Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure,       and on a pretty day you get a perfect vista of Canyon Point from Canyon Lake. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Lewis Range will keep you coming back time and again. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Canyon Lake get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Canyon Lake are in the 0's. There are some tremendous whitewater spots                  on Blackfoot River - North Fork, and camping at Canyon Lake is delightful fun, Big Nelson Campground is a delightful local campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Blackfoot River, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Camp Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Canyon Lake is a brilliant spot to camp, Monture Creek Campground is a brilliant spot, and close by you come across the Spread Mountain Trail which is a glorious hiking trail.
