    Why not stop by Canyon Lake if you're passing through these parts. Head up to Red Lodge Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. There's so much to do here at Canyon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Crazy Creek Campground is a good spot for that. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Canyon Lake is excellent! Soar down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone in a kayak, and Canyon Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Fox Creek Campground  
   is a great local campground. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Canyon Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
At Canyon Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 30's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Canyon Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
 
               This lake is so wonderful. Near Canyon Lake you come across the Lake Reno Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Canyon Lake is not the only site close by, Diamond Lake is a close by lake. This place, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. You could also stop by Mariane Lake while you're here at Canyon Lake; it's nearby.
If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Absaroka Range. There is a glorious hiking trail in close proximity to Canyon Lake called the Crazy Mountain Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. Going for a hike on the Crazy Lakes Trail is always a delightful adventure, and Hemingway Creek is next to Canyon Lake and is always a diversion to stop at.
