This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. During the summer highs here at Camp Lake reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Camp Lake. That right there is a lot of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Lewis Range has it all. Near Camp Lake you come across the McCabe Lake Creek       Trail which is a delightful hiking trail; naturally, A journey to Camp Pass is always fun. Here at Camp Lake you can see East Spread Mountain, and Big Nelson Campground is a fine local campground. Blackfoot River is a magnificent whitewater spot near Camp Lake, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do near Camp Lake. There is a good hiking trail near                  Camp Lake called the Spread Mountain Trail, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Blackfoot River - North Fork. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Lewis Range. The Lake Otatsy Trail is a perfect hiking trail in the neighborhood of Camp Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Monture Creek Campground is a delightful place to camp, and needless to say Conger Creek flows through this area.
