    It's always fun to stop by Burnt Bacon Lake. That right there is heaps of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Absaroka Range has it all. Hit the slopes at Red Lodge Mountain in the vicinity. An average amount of rain falls at Burnt Bacon Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain while October is usually the driest month. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone River; nice hiking is available along the Upper Granite Loop Trail.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Copeland Lake Trail; it's a great idea to stop at Lake Creek. Be careful coming to the Absaroka Range, you might not ever want to return home again. A delightful site to camp here at Burnt Bacon Lake is Lake Creek Campground, and there are some great whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. Burnt Bacon Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range.

               at Beartooth Lake Campground It's always wonderful to take a look at Park Rapids. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Burnt Bacon Lake. You could also explore Castle Lake since you're here at Burnt Bacon Lake; it's close by, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Burnt Bacon Lake; Granite Loop Trail is a delightful local trail. Summertime at Burnt Bacon Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Burnt Bacon Lake.
