Good hiking is available along the Josephine Creek Trail, and Burgess Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Rainbow Lake Campground is a great spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A nice spot for whitewater paddling near Burgess Lake is Clark Fork; needless to say, this is a perfect region for folks who like lakes, Rainbow       Lake is a lake in the vicinity. Be careful coming to Burgess Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Burgess Creek, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Bass Pond is just a very short distance away. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Kwataqnuk Resort. There's wonderful hiking along the McCormick Creek Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Burgess Lake has to                  offer, you can camp at Cascade Creek Campground. It is very dried out here at Burgess Lake regularly; June is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Burgess Lake get into the 80's; the nighttime is slightly colder of course, mostly in the 40's.
