After a long day outdoors Bridge Street Cottages is a pleasant place to spend a night or two; there's some flowing water nearby, Box Creek is a stream you can pop by while here. The warmest time of the year at Buffalo Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's, and after the sun is down       during the wintertime temperatures at Buffalo Lakes dip into the 0's. Buffalo Lakes gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls during June, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Buffalo Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Sears Motel and Campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Buffalo Lakes; Glacier Park Autumn Creek Trail is a good local trail. Buffalo Lakes is                  one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more amusing stuff to do in the Lewis Range. There's so much to do here at Buffalo Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Summit Campground is a nice site for that, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Two Medicine-Elk Calf Mountain National Recreation Trail. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Flathead River - Middle Fork, and do take a hike on the Firebrand Pass Trail.
