Why not take a refreshing hike along the McDermott Trail; dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge. There's magnificent hiking along the McCabe Lake Creek Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Blackfoot River - North Fork offers some fine whitewater.       If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Browns Lake. A great place to camp here at Browns Lake is Big Nelson Campground; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Blackfoot River. Ward Creek is a perfect site to visit. The Lake Otatsy Trail offers hiking at its best, and Deadmans Lake is a brilliant lake close by. Browns Lake gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year January is                  the one with the most snow while July is typically the driest month. For the period of the warm months, highs typically are in the 80's at Browns Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's.
