Bowback Mountain is clearly visible from Bowback Lake, and if you need a place to stay Yodeler Motel is a pleasant choice. You're probably keen on lakes, Ship Lake is one of those close by, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Red Lodge Mountain is relatively near. But wait, there's more to do near Bowback Lake. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling       on Rosebud Creek - East; there are brilliant locations to look at along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Bowback Lake is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, East Rosebud Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby, and don't leave Bowback Lake without first going for a hike along the Upper Granite Loop Trail. Rosebud Creek - West has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby, and magnificent hiking is available along the                  Beauty Lake Trail. From a rain point of view Bowback Lake is a pretty normal place; most of the rain falls throughout June, and the driest month of the year is October. During the summertime, highs mostly are in the 70's at Bowback Lake with overnight lows in the 30's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 20's, and overnight lows at Bowback Lake through the wintertime ordinarily sink into the 0's. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Stay the night at Jimmy Joe Campground; obviously, this is a fine vicinity for people who like lakes, Marker Lake is a lake around here. This lake is so wonderful.
