At Boulder Lake you don’t see much rainfall; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. If you need a place to stay Hubbards Ponderosa Lodge is a splendid choice. Good hiking is available along the Iris Point Trail, and Montana Snowbowl is a very popular ski area close at hand. Marshall Mountain has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff; the summit of Boulder Point can be seen       from Boulder Lake. If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great globe it would be. Camping at Cedar Campground is always a perfect experience; Holiday Inn Express Missoula-Riverside, Mt is a pleasant site to get some rest. All through the warmest time of the year at Boulder Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while Boulder Lake nighttime                  low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Boulder Lake, you'll find Sudden Lake which is a pretty lake; Boulder Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Twin Campground is a great local campground.
