You'll need more than a day to discover everything Blue Lake has to offer, you can camp at Half Moon       Campground, and a short journey to Thunder Rapids is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Big Timber is a good place to spend a night or two; Blue Lake is not the only place close by, Thunder Lake is a close by lake. Blue Lake gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is February. Summertime highs at Blue Lake generally tend to be in the 70's. Through the dark                  hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's.
