Blue Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. Why not camp at Hells Canyon Campground since you're here at Blue Lake, and a great close by hotel is Livingston Super 8 Motel. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Poacher Trail, and you get a brilliant sight of Haystack Peak from here.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Coyote Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty

| | of this region, and a fine place to camp here at Blue Lake is Hicks Park Campground. For the period of the warm months at Blue Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Blue Lake. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up.

the Buffalo Plateau Trail, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is Boulder River. Blue Lake gets very little precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
