Turner Mountain is a good local ski area, and the Coyote Creek Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. From a rainfall point of view Blue Lake is a relatively typical spot; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Blue Lake reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the       40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Blue Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Banfield Mountain can be made out from Blue Lake, and a scenic lake like Horse Lakes is a fine location to explore. Stay the night at Meadowlark RV Park, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Fisher Mountain Trail. There are some great whitewater spots on Kootenai River, and do pop                  by Tom Poole Lake, it's a stunning lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the neighborhood of Blue Lake. If you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Libby is a perfect choice.
