Some nearby water includes Blanchard Creek, and you can stay the night at Russell Gates Memorial Campground. Blanchard Lake is a place with many visitors from Missoula, and the Blackfoot Divide Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. That right there is a heap already, but it goes on; Blanchard Lake has it all. Salmon Lake Campground is a good campground nearby. Get your heart pumping on the perfect       whitewater of Blackfoot River, and there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Pyramid Pass Trail. Summer at Blanchard Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Blanchard Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Blanchard Lake is a location that is pretty dried                  out generally; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
