It's always fun to stop by Blanchard Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Blanchard Lake you can take a hike along the Whitefish Divide-Smokey Range National Recreation Trail; people from Kalispell love to come here. Grouse Mountain Lodge is a good spot to get some rest; if you have time, Glacier National Park is a national park worth going to. So much exciting stuff to do at Blanchard Lake, so little time.

| | don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillwater River, and Lost Coon Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Just can't get enough of Blanchard Lake. Flathead River - Middle Fork is a good whitewater spot near Blanchard Lake, and going for a hike along the Micho Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Blanchard Lake.
If you want to play some golf, you're
in luck because Whitefish Lake Golf Club is in the neighborhood, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Big Mountain. Blanchard Lake is a wonderful place to camp, Whitefish RV Park is a wonderful place; after
a long day outdoors Chalet Motel Whitefish is a good location to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Blanchard Lake has to offer, you can camp at Whitefish/Kalispell N KOA, and do schedule some
time to stop by Orchard Point if you have a chance.
Not much rain falls here at Blanchard Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. Hit the slopes at Blacktail Mountain close by, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Danny on Memorial National Recreation Trail.
