Blackmore Creek is a great local stream, and if you get bored of Blackmore Lake you could also stop by nearby Hyalite Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Blackmore Lake is right by the Divide Trail; you can stay the night at Palace Butte Campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Blackmore Lake. History Rock is an attention-grabbing thing to see since you're here at Blackmore Lake. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Hyalite

| | Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could explore; why not take a refreshing hike along the Pole Gulch Trail. Throughout the days of summer at Blackmore Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while Blackmore Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. for whitewater paddling is Gallatin River. Middle Creek Dam is not far at all from Blackmore Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Western Heritage Inn. The friendly folks of Bozeman like to hang out close by, and Blackmore Campground
is a good campground nearby. Very pretty scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Bridger Bowl, and if you need a location to stay Imperial Inn is a good choice. Around Blackmore Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; May is when
you get the most rain here while February is regularly the driest month. The vista of beautiful Mount Blackmore near Blackmore Lake is great, and get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Yellowstone River.

Incredible expert only skiing is available off Bridger's new Schlasman's Chairlift and on the renowned ''Ridge.'' Skiers and snowboarders who wish to ride the new lift or access this terrain, collectively known as Ridge Terrain, must have an avalanche transceiver (457 kHz). It is strongly recommended to have a partner, a shovel and expert skiing abilities in addition to knowledge of the terrain before venturing into the area which will have no hazard markings, no grooming and no marked trails. Ridge Terrain contains numerous steep chutes, rock cliffs, and snowfields which may end in unmarked cliffs.
