Black Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Black Lake; Graves Creek Trail is a delightful local trail, and Black Lake is right by the Noisy Creek Notch Trail. The summit of Mount Aeneas can be seen from Black Lake; a fine nearby hotel is Glacier Park Super 8 Motel. The Lewis Range scenery is always beautiful.

| | Park is one of the destinations close to Black Lake that are delightful to go to; whitewater paddling is delightful on Flathead River - Middle Fork. Through the warm days of summer at Black Lake highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. close to Black Lake is a good place to stop at, and Swan River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.
The yearly rain here at Black Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest of the
months is July. This lake is so wonderful. The Tongue Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and there are plenty of folks from Kalispell here at Black Lake.
This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Lid
Creek Campground is a glorious campground here; if you need a spot to stay Bridge Street Cottages is a brilliant choice. So much fun stuff in the Lewis Range, just mind-blowing. A journey to Jewel Basin rejuvenates the soul, and you can stay the night at Fire Island Campground.
