Around Bill Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. Camping is available at Woodbine Campground; Bill Lake is not the only location nearby, Asteroid Lake is a nearby lake. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty       more cool things to do in the Absaroka Range. A pleasant nearby hotel is Super 8 Big Timber. For the duration of the summer highs here at Bill Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bill Lake are in the 10's. Why not camp at Mc Leod Resort since you're here at Bill Lake, and great hiking is available along the Thunderer Cutoff Trail. You'll                  wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Bill Lake. A lake close by is Comet Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillwater River. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Lodgepole Trail is always a good adventure, and Tumble Mountain is clearly visible from Bill Lake.
