     Montana has many beautiful lakes and Big Moose Lake is one of them. The yearly rain here at Big Moose Lake is about average; most of the rain falls during June; the driest month of the year is October. Get drenched paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and skiing at Red Lodge Mountain is one of those things you just have to do. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range.

   take a hike on the Crazy Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Crazy Lakes if you're here at Big Moose Lake; it's close by, and going for a hike along the Lake Reno Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Yeah, come here to Big Moose Lake for a magnificent time. There's some flowing water nearby, Hemingway Creek is a stream you can stop at while you're here; camping at Fox Creek Campground is always a splendid experience.
 
               Summer at Big Moose Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 30's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 20's while Big Moose Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range, too splendid to be true. Hiking along the Crazy Mountain Trail is wonderful fun. Man, is there lots of amusing things to do in the Absaroka Range. If you came to camp Crazy Creek Campground is a nice place to do that, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Clarks Fork Yellowstone.
