Why not stop by Big Hawk Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Lewis Range. A tremendous site for whitewater paddling right next door to Big Hawk Lake is Flathead River - Middle Fork; you'll find a wonderful lake called Handkerchief Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Big Hawk Lake you locate the Peterson Creek Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and do have a look at Lake Seven Acres, it's a lovely lake. If the weather is delightful, you obtain a brilliant sight of Big Hawk Mountain from Big Hawk Lake, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Aeneas Creek Trail. Trail is always a great adventure, and after a long day outdoors Bridge Street Cottages is a perfect location to spend a night or two.
The Lewis Range scenery is always beautiful. Summertime at Big Hawk Lake arrives with high
temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 20's while Big Hawk Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. If you want a nice
time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Lewis Range. Camping is available at Graves Bay Campground, and you can run the rapids of Swan River.
An average amount of precipitation falls at Big Hawk Lake; most of the rain falls through November while July is ordinarily the driest month.
