Montana has many beautiful lakes and Big Grizzly Lake is one of them. The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Big Grizzly Lake. Big Sand Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot in close proximity to Big Grizzly Lake, and One Horn Basin is a tremendous site to stretch your legs a bit. The amount of precipitation that falls at Big Grizzly Lake is close to the national average;

The Old Nez Perce Trail is a great hiking trail next to Big Grizzly Lake. There's so much to do here at Big Grizzly Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Schumaker Campground is a magnificent location for that. winter the highs are typically in the 30's while Big Grizzly Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bitterroot Range. Near Big Grizzly Lake you find the South Route
Old Nez Perce Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Bear Creek Pass Campground, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on White Sand
Creek. Bell Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by; Lost Trail has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Bitterroot Range. Best Western Hamilton Inn is a great place to
get some rest, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the North Route Of Old Nez Perce Trail.
