I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Big Foot Lake. Why not camp at Chief Joseph Campground while you're here at Big Foot Lake, and you can run the rapids of Stillwater River. Having a good time in the Absaroka Range is simple. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the Absaroka Range has to offer. A great location to camp here at Big Foot Lake is Colter Campground; hiking       along the Republic Trail is pleasant fun. This lake is so wonderful. At Big Foot Lake you can see Big Mountain; going for a hike along the Crazy Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Do visit Beckwourth Lake right next door to Big Foot Lake, it's a pretty lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Pilot Creek Trail. A delightful close by hotel is Super 8 Motel Big Timber, and get your pulse rate up on the wonderful                  whitewater of Clarks Fork Yellowstone. At Big Foot Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 30's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Big Foot Lake. Around Big Foot Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; throughout May this area sees the most rain while February is typically the driest month.
