This place is peerless, just look at all the cool stuff to do close to Big Butte Lake. Good hiking is available along       the Crazy Mountain Trail, and if the weather is lovely, you obtain a magnificent panorama of Crazy Mountain from Big Butte Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Butte Lake; Lake Reno Trail is a tremendous local trail; Big Butte Lake is not the only location nearby, Widowed Lake is a nearby lake. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Absaroka                  Range. Soar down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in a kayak, and camping is available at Lake Creek Campground. These mountains rock, just explore all the fun things to do in the Absaroka Range. Go for a hike on the Copeland Lake Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Big Butte Lake. Summer night lows descend down to the 30's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Big Butte Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
