A cool spot to stop by close to Beta Lake is Devils Elbow. On a fine day at Beta Lake you can take a hike along the Alpine Trail, and needless to say, this is a glorious area for people who like lakes, Alpha Lake is a lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular spot for folks from Kalispell, and a spree to Glacier National Park is worthwhile. Hungry Horse Dam is a place that is in close       proximity to Beta Lake; Alora Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting. The yearly precipitation here at Beta Lake is about average; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; July is when it's the driest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Beta Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Beta Lake temperatures dip to the 10's.                  So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Lewis Range, too good to be true. If you need a spot to stay Bad Rock B&B is a delightful choice; camping at North Lion Lake Campground is always a good experience. Man, is there heaps of cool things to do in the Lewis Range. After a long day outdoors Glacier Park Super 8 Motel is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Columbia Mountain Trail. The Lewis Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Flathead River - Middle Fork, and Beta Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, South Lion Lake Campground is a perfect local campground. Yeah, come here to Beta Lake for a great time.
