In Montana there are many beautiful lakes, Beehive Lake is one of them. If you came for an overnight stay Castle Rock Inn is a perfect site to camp, and lakes are such calm sites, why not stop at Mirror Lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Sky if you're here, and a glorious place for whitewater paddling is Gallatin River. This lake is so wonderful. Having a glorious time at Beehive Lake is painless. Elkhorn is a great campground here, and if you're visiting from Bozeman, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Moonlight Basin, and you can go for a hike on the Wapiti Creek Trail.

night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Beehive Lake are in the 10's. Near Beehive Lake you stumble on the Eldridge Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail,
and do set aside some time for Beehive Basin while you're here at Beehive Lake. Not much rainfall falls here at Beehive Lake; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is commonly the driest month.
