There's so much to do here at Beckwourth Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Colter Campground is a delightful site for that; you obtain a great sight of Big Mountain from here. Yeah, come up here to the Absaroka Range for a good time. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Clarks Fork Yellowstone, and don't leave Beckwourth Lake without first going for a hike along the       Crazy Lakes Trail. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Go for a hike on the Pilot Creek Trail, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillwater River. It is very dry here at Beckwourth Lake regularly; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Beckwourth Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. Going for a hike on the Republic Trail is                  always a nice adventure, and you can stay the night at Woodbine Campground. All through the summer months here at Beckwourth Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 30's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Beckwourth Lake are in the 0's. A magnificent nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel Big Timber. Lakes?
