Through the warm months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Beaver Ponds, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Beaver Ponds dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. You'll meet a lot of folks from Helena here. You'll need more than a day to explore everything       Beaver Ponds has to offer, you can camp at MacDonald Pass Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sweeney Creek Ecology Trail, and do set aside some time for Thompson Flats since you're here at Beaver Ponds. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Lewis Range. Meadow Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit; do take a hike on the Bear Gulch Trail. Beaver Ponds is one of the lakes here                  in the Lewis Range. It is very dehydrated here at Beaver Ponds generally; May is the month that gets the most rain; July is when it's the driest. So much exciting stuff to do in the Lewis Range, not enough time.
