Summer at Bear Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; the nighttime is quite cooler of course, generally in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Bear Lakes. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Bridger Bowl, and Comfort Inn Bozeman is a splendid site to get some rest. At Bear Lakes you don’t see much rain;       the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Bear Lakes has it all. Why not camp at Bear Canyon RV Park while you're here at Bear Lakes. If you come at the right time of year, Yellowstone River offers some glorious whitewater, and don't leave Bear Lakes without first going for a hike along the Pole Gulch Trail. If you need a                  place to stay Microtel Inn and Suites Bozeman is a fine choice; Palace Butte Campground is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
