If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blackfoot River, and you can stay the night at Big Nelson Campground. Bear Creek is a swamp near Bear Lake, and if you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge is a pleasant choice. Bear Lake is one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range. Bear Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. Take a hike on the Mineral       Creek Trail, and why not take a little trip to McDermott Creek since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the North Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bear Lake has to offer, you can camp at Blackfoot Canyon Campground. All year is a good time in the Lewis Range if you love the outdoors. So much fun stuff to do here in the Lewis Range, too pleasant                  to be true. Hiking along the McDermott Trail is wonderful fun, and Blackfoot River - North Fork is a fine whitewater spot nearby. Bear Lake is a location that is reasonably dehydrated mostly; through the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest month of the year is July. High temperatures at Bear Lake through the warm months are in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's.
