You get a splendid panorama of Saint Joseph Peak from Bass Lake, and there's always Bass Lake Dam to stop by next to Bass Lake. So much exciting stuff next to Bass Lake, completely impressive. A pleasant site for whitewater paddling right next door to Bass Lake is Kootenai Creek, and Fort Fizzle Campground is a good campground nearby. Going for a hike on the Saint Mary Peak Trail
