Going for a hike on the Custer National Forest Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and as expected Blacktail Creek flows through this region. Very beautiful scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Red Lodge Mountain; you       can stay the night at Basin Campground. Basin Creek Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. Basin Creek Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rain; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back again and again. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Rock Creek;                  do go to Silver Run Lakes, it's a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Basin Creek Lake is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Cascade Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby, and paddling on Rosebud Creek - East is so much fun. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Basin Creek Lake while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Basin Creek Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range.
