You can run the rapids of Stillwater River close to Baney Lake; don't leave Baney Lake without first going for a hike along the Tally Mountain Billy Creek Trail. All through the summertime here at Baney Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. When       the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Baney Lake. Going for a hike on the Mountain Meadow Trail is always a glorious adventure. There's so much to do here at Baney Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Diamond K Chuckwagon is a great location for that. Man, is there a load of amusing things to do in close proximity to Baney Lake.                  The skiing at Blacktail Mountain is good; there are tremendous locations to look at along the Reid Divide Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Whitefish Lake Golf Club is a good way to kill some time. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Baney Lake has to offer, you can camp at Whitefish/Kalispell N KOA. At Baney Lake you always meet someone from Kalispell, and if you've had enough of Baney Lake, Northwestern Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Big Mountain is just what you need, and dry warm beds await you at Kristianna Mountain Homes.
