Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff next to Bandy Reservoir. Bandy Reservoir is right by the Dunham Lodgepole Trail, and Russell Gates Memorial Campground is a fine campground here. Bandy Reservoir is a wonderful place to camp, Monture Creek Campground is a wonderful place; if you come at the right time of year, Blackfoot River offers some good whitewater. So much exciting stuff in the Lewis Range, just       mind-boggling. Bandy Reservoir Dam is worth a visit if you're here, and hiking along the Dunham Trail is delightful fun. Through the warm months, highs generally are in the 80's at Bandy Reservoir, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Bandy Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Bandy Reservoir, for example James                  Lake, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Center Ridge Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. And that's not all there is to do here in the Lewis Range. While you're here at Bandy Reservoir you will meet lots of people from close by Missoula. It is very waterless here at Bandy Reservoir commonly; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month of the year is July.
