Sawtelle Mountain Resort is a tremendous spot to get some rest, and splendid hiking is available along the Cutoff Trail. Summertime highs at Avalanche Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Avalanche Lake. most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Big Sky; a lake nearby is Triple Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here
at Avalanche Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Creek Campground 1 is a great place for that, and if you get bored of Avalanche Lake you could also go to nearby High Hope Lake.
