This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. So much exciting stuff to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time. Arrastra Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Snowbank Campground is a great place to camp nearby; Mineral Mountain can be seen from Arrastra Lake. From a precipitation point of view Arrastra Lake is a relatively normal place; the month       with most of the rain is May while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - Gardiner is a great spot to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Highland Trail. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Hiking along the Wallace Creek Trail is brilliant fun; if you've had enough of Arrastra Lake, Lonesome Pond is nearby. Nearby lakes? Sure, Fish Lake is close to                  Arrastra Lake; there are some splendid whitewater spots on Yellowstone River. All through the summer here at Arrastra Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Arrastra Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Arrastra Lake is right by the Snowbank Trail, and there's whitewater on Mulherin Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
