Do stop by Anvil Lake while you're in this part of Montana. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more cool stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Crazy Mountain is pretty and can be spotted from Anvil Lake, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Absaroka Range. Do go to Shrew Lake in the vicinity

to discover everything Anvil Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Creek Campground. Clarks Fork Yellowstone has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. There's so much to do here at Anvil Lake that you need to camp here for
a while, Crazy Creek Campground is a good place for that. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. Just can't get enough of Anvil Lake. Fritter Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Lake Reno Trail.
