Anvil Lake is a lake worth visiting. All year is a wonderful time in the Absaroka Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. There's whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone for all you adrenaline kick people. At Anvil Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 30's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows at Anvil Lake during the winter commonly

The Lake Reno Trail is a great hiking trail close to Anvil Lake, and on a beautiful day you obtain a great panorama of Crazy Mountain
from Anvil Lake. From a precipitation point of view Anvil Lake is a quite normal spot; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. You're
probably into lakes, Big Butte Lake is one of those close by; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail.
