There's great hiking along the Ford Willow Creek Trail, and pleasant water scenery is available at Anderson Lake Dam close to Anderson Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Lewis Range. Anderson Lake gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May while February is usually the driest month. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Lewis Range. You can run the rapids of Falls Creek near Anderson       Lake, and you can stay the night at Wagons West Campground. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Anderson Lake. The Smith Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; Anderson Lake is not the only spot nearby, Nilan Reservoir is a nearby lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Steamboat Lookout Pass, obviously you could also check out Smith Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Dearborn River is a perfect whitewater spot close                  to Anderson Lake, and Home Gulch Campground is a fine campground nearby. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Anderson Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Anderson Lake during the winter typically dip into the 10's.
