The Pioneer Mountains scenery is always beautiful. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Pioneer Mountains. There's so much to do here at Anchor Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dinner Station Campground is a good location for that, and at Anchor Lake you can catch a sight of Highboy Mountain. Through the long summer days here at Anchor Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 70's. All through       the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Anchor Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. The scenery at Anchor South Dam in close proximity to Anchor Lake is gorgeous, and a delightful lake like Anchor Lake is a splendid location to take a look at. There is a wonderful hiking trail next to Anchor Lake called the Driveway Trail, and Anchor                  Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is plentiful here in the Pioneer Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. On a nice day at Anchor Lake you can take a hike along the Rhubarb Patch Trail, and if you came to camp Mono Creek Campground is a fine place to do that. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Going for a hike on the Gold Creek Trail is always a splendid adventure, and Comfort Inn Dillon is a good place to get some rest.
