That right there is a load of fun things already but it goes on, the Pioneer Mountains has it all. Anchor Lake gets very little precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area close to Anchor Lake has to offer. Anchor Lake North Dam is striking and it's       next to Anchor Lake; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Rhubarb Patch Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Pioneer Mountains. Be careful coming to the Pioneer Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. The Gold Creek Trail is a great hiking trail near Anchor Lake, and if you've had enough of Anchor Lake, Twin Lakes is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Highboy Mountain is easily spotted from Anchor Lake; camping                  is available at Dinner Station Campground. Anchor Lake is not the only place close by, Pear Lake is a close by lake; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Dillon is a nice location to spend a night or two. Summer at Anchor Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Anchor Lake. On a great day at Anchor Lake you can take a hike along the Driveway Trail, and why not camp at Mono Creek Campground while you're here at Anchor Lake.   Comfort Inn Dillon, Dillon 27 miles away Great fishing & hunting in the Big Hole Valley.
