     The peak of Flint Creek Range can be seen from Altoona Lakes; needless to say Granite Creek is a charming stream that is worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge; the Lower Willow Creek Trail Number Four offers hiking at its best. Altoona Lakes gets very little precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.

Bielenberg Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and while you're here at Altoona Lakes it's a magnificent idea to stop by Deerlodge Basin. If you came for an overnight stay Lower Warm Springs Campground is a good place to camp; the governing characteristic in the region is the Flint Creek Range. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Altoona Lakes reach the 80's. Through the dark  
               hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in the 30's; overnight lows at Altoona Lakes during the winter frequently dip into the 10's.
If you get bored of Altoona Lakes, you could also stop by nearby Goat Mountain Lakes, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Altoona Lakes; Boulder Lakes Trail is a perfect local trail. IT'S VERY SAD THAT A CALIFORNIA INVESTOR BOUGHT AND REMOVED THE LODGE, IT WILL NOW BE  500K CONDO'S INSTEAD....My husbands family owned Dentons Point Campground and lodge in the past. We were curious if the log cabin his Great-Grandma lived in is still standing and what changes have been made to the lodge.
