Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Alpha Lake with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while Alpha Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Bad Rock B&B is a good location to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Flathead River - Middle Fork. Whohoo, so much       fun stuff in one place! The Lewis Range rules! If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork, and why not camp at North Lion Lake Campground if you're here at Alpha Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Devils Elbow is something you shouldn't miss if you're here at Alpha Lake; lakes are such serene sites, why not pop by Beta Lake. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more amusing stuff                  to do here at Alpha Lake. Hiking along the Alpine Trail is tremendous fun, and you're sure to bump into some friendly people from Kalispell here. The amount of precipitation that falls at Alpha Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls through November, and July on the other hand is the driest. Glacier National Park is a good location near Alpha Lake, and some nearby water includes Aurora Creek. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Lewis Range. A stunning lake like Doris Lakes in the neighborhood of Alpha Lake is a great place to have a look at, and a delightful place to camp here at Alpha Lake is South Lion Lake Campground. Take a hike on the Doris Creek Trail, and Glacier Park Super 8 Motel is a good spot to get some rest. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Columbia Mountain Trail.
