From Alp Lake you obtain a good sight of Imp Peak, and a pretty lake like Expedition Lake is a tremendous site to have a look at. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area near Alp Lake has to offer. Head up to Big Sky and strap some skis to your feet, and going for a hike on the Lightning Creek Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is tremendous at Moonlight Basin, and if you need a site to stay Arrowhead is a great choice. If you're here, you might as well stop by Expedition Pass, and you can go for a hike on the Wapiti Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Alp
Lake has to offer, you can camp at Beaver Creek Campground 1, and you'll find a charming lake called Crag Lake. Summertime highs at Alp Lake generally tend to be in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
The winter brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows at Alp Lake through the wintertime frequently sink into the 10's.
Near Alp Lake you discover the Cutoff Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and nearby you hit upon Pyramid Point.

It starts out near a small pond called Moose Lake, follows a path up some dense forest for a couple of miles, then opens up into these huge rolling meadows surrounded by Cedar Mountain, Pioneer Mountain, and Lone Mountain with a great view of Sphinx Mountain in the distance.... |
