What a nice lake Alp Lake is. Yeah, come here to Alp Lake for a good time. You simply have to stop at Castle Rock Glacier while you're here at Alp Lake; why not camp at Beartooth Lake Campground if you're here at Alp Lake. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Rosebud Creek - East, and nearby you come across the Copeland Lake Trail which is a good hiking trail. Alp Lake is a good place of common rain; June is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is October.

| | Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Alp Lake. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Alp Lake are in the 0's. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do in the Absaroka Range. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called | |

the Granite Loop Trail. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range, too tremendous to be true.
Camping at Alp Lake is great fun, East Rosebud Campground is a great local campground, and there are other places here
than Alp Lake, for example Castle Lake. Alp Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Red Lodge Mountain is one of those things you just should do, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Upper Granite Loop Trail.
