That right there is lots of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Absaroka Range has it all. There's whitewater on Rosebud Creek - East for all you adrenaline people, and Top Of The World Campground is a great local campground. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Alp Lake, and the nighttime       is a little chillier of course, generally in the 30's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Alp Lake. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Absaroka Range. If the weather is nice here at Alp Lake, you can go for a hike along the Granite Loop Trail. While you're here at Alp Lake you can take a hike along the Upper Granite Loop Trail, and why not camp at Beartooth                  Lake Campground while you're here at Alp Lake. Alp Lake really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. The Copeland Lake Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to Alp Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Red Lodge Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Clarks Fork Yellowstone River; lakes are such peaceful locations, why not go to Castle Lake. Alp Lake is located in the Absaroka Range.
