Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Almeda Lake. Camping at Eld Island Campground is always a tremendous experience, and you're probably into lakes, Dickey Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. Almeda Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Canyon Creek Campground is a glorious local campground, and do take a hike on the Murray Canyon Trail.       Be careful coming to the Lewis Range, you might not ever want to return back home again. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Paint Creek Trail. If you need a site to stay Bridge Street Cottages is a wonderful choice, and if you come at the right time of year, Flathead River - Middle Fork offers some magnificent whitewater. Lakes are tremendous; Marion Lake is a lake that's close to Almeda Lake, and the view of lovely Mount Adams is pleasant. Yeah, come                  up here to the Lewis Range for a pleasant time. There are some great whitewater spots on Bear Creek; why not take a refreshing hike along the Harris Ridge Trail. During the long summer days at Almeda Lake highs are commonly in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Almeda Lake.
