Why not stop by Alcove Lake if you're passing through these parts. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is bountiful here in the Lewis Range. The Lewis Range scenery is always beautiful. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Lewis Range. A wonderful vista of picturesque Alcove Mountain is available from Alcove Lake, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Lion Creek Trail.

Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Alcove Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. You'll stumble on a delightful lake called Olor Lake near Alcove Lake, and if you came to camp Crossover Campground is a great location to do that. Cottages is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and close by you find the Spotted Bear Mountain Trail which is a perfect hiking trail.
From a rainfall point of view Alcove Lake is a quite common place; December is the month that
gets the most snow; July is when it's the driest. Some of the water close by flows, like Alcove Creek, and the Smith Creek Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Twin Creeks Bed
and Breakfast. There's so much to do here at Alcove Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Spotted Bear Campground is a tremendous place for that.
