Not much precipitation falls here at Akokala Lake; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow while April is typically the driest month. And if that's not enough there's a lot more enjoyable stuff to do in the Lewis Range. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Big Mountain while you're here. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Akokala Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bowman Creek Campground. Akokala

Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Long Bow Lake, and hiking along the Akokala Lake Trail is nice fun. This lake is one of the great places here in the Lewis Range. Now, you may feel
that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Lewis Range. While you're here at Akokala Lake you can take a hike along the Quartz Lake Trail, and if the weather is beautiful, you obtain a pleasant sight of Reuter Peak from Akokala Lake.
