It's always fun to stop by Acorn Lake. From a precipitation point of view Acorn Lake is a rather typical place; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Daisy Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - St. Regis. Acorn Lake is one of the lakes here in the Bitterroot Range.

| | a great experience. The Thompson River Mount Headley Trail is a glorious hiking trail near Acorn Lake; Cherry Peak is striking and can be made out from here. Throughout the warm months at Acorn Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Acorn Lake.
