This lake is so wonderful. Bigfork Campground is a good campground nearby, and                  getting to Swan River from Abbot Lake is trouble-free. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Abbot Lake is peerless! Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Swan River. Around Abbot Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; during June this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. If you need a location to stay Glacier Park Super 8 Motel is a wonderful choice; a brilliant place for whitewater paddling is Flathead River - Middle Fork. You'll meet a lot of folks from Kalispell here; don't leave Abbot Lake without first going for a hike along the Jimmie Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop by Echo Lake close to Abbot Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and beaches are good and Long Beach is no exception.
