Near Abandoned Lake you find the       Beauty Lake Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and the skiing at Red Lodge Mountain is good. Summertime highs at Abandoned Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Abandoned Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. There are other places here than Abandoned Lake, for example Lonesome Lake, and Top Of The                  World Campground is a good local campground. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do right next door to Abandoned Lake. There's whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River for all you thrill seekers, and a wonderful sight of gorgeous Lonesome Mountain is available. Abandoned Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. Abandoned Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while October is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
