    Abandoned Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. All through the summer months here at Abandoned Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Abandoned Lake fall into the 0's. There is a perfect hiking trail close to Abandoned Lake called the Upper Granite Loop Trail; whitewater paddling  
   is pleasant on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range, too pleasant to be true. Why not camp at Island Lake Campground if you're here at Abandoned Lake, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail.
The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Red Lodge Mountain, and Lupine Inn Red Lodge is a wonderful place to get some rest. An average amount of rainfall
 
               falls at Abandoned Lake; during the month of June you get the most rain around here while October is ordinarily the driest month. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Abandoned Lake. The Beauty Lake Trail is a glorious hiking trail near Abandoned Lake, and if you're here, you could also check out delightful Albino Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant location to camp here at Abandoned Lake is Beartooth Lake Campground, and the summit of Lonesome Mountain can be spotted from Abandoned Lake. All year is a magnificent time in the Absaroka Range if you adore the outdoors. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range.
